Ok! This is the start! Well, it is about a year after I really wanted to write. Why I haven't written ever since? The answer is simple, I haven't thought of writing in English. And with Persian, I had problems typing the words with these keyboards. I am good in making excuses, right?
Any how, I remember the first time I wrote something on my own. It was the first year of secondary school. I was 11. The title, which was assigned by the teacher, was "What kind of a girl am I?". I spent one whole day writing three pages. The next day in class, I was praying God the teacher not to call me (I did that always in my composition classes ever since!). But she called me. When I was reading my composition, all I was trying to do was to breathe easily. When I finished, I turned my face to see here. I could see she didn't like it. But that was not the end of the story. She asked me how much time I spent on it, and I said a whole day, and she started to give me a fifteen minutes lecture that how meaningless my composition was. And that's where I realized I am not going to be a writer.
It's about three years that my advisor is asking me to improve my writing. According to him, it's a shame to hold a PhD degree without having the ability to write easily and clearly. What he meant was of course technical writing.
I think I have to start taking writing as a more serious issue in my life. So I decided to start this way: BLOGGING. It's fun reading people's blogs. I am wondering is it ever going to be fun reading my own blog. Hopes are on....
